The Situation

A large obstetrics/gynecology group needed to modernize their marketing strategy for the digital world in effort to reach their target audiences with messaging, and for acquisition and retention. With 17 physicians on staff, each one has his/or her own patients, so it was important to ensure the clinic was recognized appropriately, along with each individual physician.

Key Strategies

Broaden their online presence and raise awareness about the breadth and depth of their experience and services, while ensuring information about the clinic found online was correct and useful. Audit to see what existed about them in the cyber universe, find what needed to be corrected, better optimized and/or organized. This included rankings on search and local listings.

After sweeping Google, it was clear they needed a strong digital strategy for SEO, local listings and Google Ads to ensure they were reaching their correct micro targeted audiences.


We ramped up their organic search strategy by following competitors and bidding on appropriate keywords within budget.  We also started an online blog and optimized their website with SEO terminology.

Google Ads – Pay Per Click and Digital Display

Since one of the client’s major audiences is women thinking about starting a family, we knew we needed to micro target women at that point in life at their moment of intent for choosing a physician. Another major audience, women in menopause, for whom they provide elective procedures to improve symptoms, were also part of a separate strategy. We used Google Ad Words and Digital Display to accomplish this goal.

Local Listings

We launched a comprehensive cleanup of their aggregated local listings to ensure they appeared correctly on Google My Business, Google Maps, and other search engines. We also optimized their listings by including social posts, photos and sitelink extensions.
